Vintage *Smurfage* :)

This little guy sits on the counter for Valentine's season...makes me smile everytime I look at him....and kinda reminds me to say "here's my heart, Jesus....take it...it belongs to you and you alone." And that's a big job for such a little Smurf :) ><>

Another use for stamps :)

*Back in the day* when I was making banners for church, I made this one when Valentine's Day fell on a Sunday. I printed the verse (one of my very favorites!) and then stamped the small hearts in a circle above it- then copied it onto acetate and used the overhead projector (a banner maker's best friend :) to paint it on some rose colored oil cloth. It's still one of my favorite banners :) ><>

New stamps! New stamps!

I even had my sewing machine out (working on some pillows for the season) so I added some stitching with the bling & such. I should just leave that thing out all the time! :) ><>

I don't know why this is so blurry....hmmn. Sorry. Anyway, both heart & verse are Heart & Soul- just stamped the heart 3x in each color. A little brad in the corner. Oh and a 3D heart just for grins. Yippee <3

Feelin' the love :)

OK. I have resigned myself to the probability that we are not going to get any more snow here in my neck of the country. It has snowed on Valentine's Day in year's past.....but I've decided to put on my big girl britches and deal with it :) Which means it's time to start thinking Heart Day. I made this card from some more goodies in my scrap bins....The image is Heart & Soul, and I added some ribbon and bling and a postage sticker I got at Craft Warehouse awhile back. I always thought this Love stamp would be cool actually stitched but have been too (lazy) busy to actually do it :) Have a blessed day! OH and watch for some new H & S images coming soon!!!! ><>

Sanctuary Art :)

Today I helped with the "spinny thing" in the center of our church sanctuary- changing from the Christmas/Epiphany season back to the *Ordinary* season....I should find out why it's called that actually :) But the Paraments are back to green, so green it is! I like how it's all swoopy and lopsided- no two sides are the same- just like us! The air currents make it move really slowly- I love color in the church! If you've got anything beautiful in your church I would LOVE to see pictures! ><>

Dangling Hearts :)

I found this cool branch laying on the ground last week on my way to the mailbox...picked it up and just knew I had to make something with it! The red votive cup came from Craft Warehouse. I punched a bunch of hearts from scrap paper and strung them on black thread. I like it ><>
